The Fifth Anniversary of Nine Eleven is another goode example of jihad communication managed by the jihadist network’s As-Sahab media branch, the al-Quaeda production organization, who announced in forums their realizations.
Scrivevo due giorni fa: “Ieri, 7 settembre 2006, al- Jazeera e CNN hanno messo in onda l’ennesimo video del jihad. La produzione è quella garantita da As-Sahab, uno dei più noti centri mediatici del terrorismo. Si tratta del medesimo marchio che sabato scorso 2 settembre 2006 si era presentato con un video di 41 minuti (…). Una serie di nuovi prodotti mediatici è attesa in occasione dell’anniversario del Nine Eleven e As-Sahab aveva annunciato nei forum una sua realizzazione.

Si tratta del medesimo marchio che sabato scorso 2 settembre 2006 si era presentato con un video di 41 minuti: “As-Sahab Media Productions presents An Invitation to Islam by Sheikh Ayman Az-Zawahiri and brother Mujahid Adam Yahya Gadahn -‘Azzam Al Amiriki”.
On the 28 July 2006 the Russian Federal authorities updated their official list of entities which are officially proscribed by the Russian government as terrorists organisations. It contained several organizations, including Jamaah al Islamiya, the Pakistan based Lashar-e Toba, Hizb u Jahar, and the Muslim Brotherhood.It was noted that, despite the current conflict in Lebanon and Gaza, the Russian list omitted to proscribe HAMAS and Hezbollah.
On Thursday, August 10, the British police announced that it deterred a terrorist blow that would astonish international community with its intensity. The information speaks of a plan, that- if realised- it would exceed in deadly result the attack of September 11. The terrorists – passengers on board flights from London with destination cities of USA – would use simple daily electronic appliances in order to detonate explosive materials hidden inside bottles for example of sports drinks and blow up at least 10 airplanes above American territory in almost one simultaneous blow. The British authorities have arrested up to now 24 suspects and prosecuted 11, mainly British citizens of Muslim religion, some of Pakistani origin and aged from 17 up to 35 years.
Over the past two weeks, Israel has taken arms against two fronts, in the north and south, precipitated by kidnappings of its solders. The military operations of the Israeli army have resulted in an escalated war that brought again international attention to the sensitive area of the Middle East. Understanding the objectives and goals both on political and strategic level of the kidnapping organizations and state-actors behind them may help to comprehend essential parameters of the conflict and its importance in the international scene.
Ieri, 22 giugno 2006, il “secondo” e “il teorico” di al-Qaeda, Al-Zawahiri, ricompare nella
rete con un video di circa 3 minuti. L’iconografia è quella usuale: discorso diretto in
camera, dito alzato a minaccia e incitamento per sottolineare i punti chiave, fucile
automatico appoggiato alla sua destra, copricapo bianco e veste grigia (elegante e
ordinata). Lo sfondo scuro non è riconoscibile. La firma è quella conosciuta di uno dei
circuiti mediatici jihadisti: As-Sahab.
Tanto clamore per Zarqawi morto fa sicuramente parte del circuito mediatico che “giea attorno” al terrorismo di matrice islamica e non riguarda solo l’ “importanza” del leader di al Qaeda.

La cronistoria di questi ultimi dieci giorni dell’aprile 2006 è drammatica. Il suo ripercorrerla è, tuttavia, un esercizio di utile analisi per chi studia il fenomeno terrorista.
Ecco dunque i fatti.
La vicenda delle vignette apparse sul quotidiano danese Jyllands-Posten ha goduto di un’ampia attenzione da parte dei media tradizionali.
Riflettere intorno al binomio “sicurezza – nuove tecnologie” significa anche approfondire il livello legislativo. Sempre di più, infatti, i dispostivi tecnologici sono al centro dei dibattiti dei giuristi i quali sono chiamati a formulare risposte concrete nei confronti di un ambito in continuo divenire come quello dei mezzi elettronici di controllo. Inizieremo perciò a descrivere quali siano le tutele della normativa italiana in merito alla videosorveglianza, per poi soffermarci, in altri interventi, sulle leggi inerenti la biometria, le smart cards e le intercettazioni .
